It's not for lack of attention, since my mid-20's I have been self-conscious of my neck. I have diligently applied sunscreen, moisturizing creams and serums religiously for more than a decade.
Why Our Necks Age Quickly
The skin on our neck is already thinner than other parts of the body. This thin layer of skin takes a lot of abuse, sun damage being a main culprit. As we lose collagen, the skin on our neck loses elasticity. Our necks don't have any oil glands either. The lack of oil glands also leads to dryness which can make the neck look parched and weathered.

What Can We Do: Prevention
I believe it is always easier to prevent something than it is to treat it. Focus on prevention now and it will save you thousands of dollars later.
You must use sunscreen on the neck and chest. Again, MUST USE SUNSCREEN. I use an SPF 30 or higher.
There are a few I like:
|L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Day Lotion SPF 30|
Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 - this is a good one if you're going running or will be in the sun all day.
Aveeno Daily Naturals Moisturizer SPF 30 - another great, affordable choice.
What We Can Do: Treatment
This is where it gets pricey. You can spend a fortune on neck creams and corrective surgery to repair that wrinkled turkey neck.
|Dr. Brandt Do Not Age Firming Neck Cream|
L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Golden Balm Face/Neck/Chest - this is an incredibly rich cream that has earned coveted praise from Good Housekeeping as the best neck cream for fine lines and dry skin.
Revision Skincare Nectifirm - this is a dermatologist and medical spa favorite. You can find this in doctors' offices across the country. It claims to reduce the "appearance of fine lines and wrinkles".
Prevention is your best friend in combating that wrinkled turkey neck. Noninvasive procedures like injectables and fillers are always an option, albeit a pricey one.
